If you're going to pop out and buy anything on your lunchbreak - make sure it's a skinny belt.
You can probably get one for the change rattling round at the bottom of your bag and it will drag most outfits into 2008.
The one on the left is a Red Slim Snake Waist Belt from Dorothy Perkins for £5. The one on the right is part of a pack of two from Asos.com for £12 (the other is black).
If it's not too far from pay day then try to buy one really colourful belt and a more subtle one like black, grey, brown or similar.
They can be worn over cardies, shirts, trousers, whatever. A splash of colour over an old outfit will wake it up.
My favourite is this Bow Buckle Skinny Belt from Asos for a mere £8.
It's brilliant when a fashion trend comes along which you can make your own. As long as they're skinny and worn on the waist, all colours, patterns, textures and buckles have got the green light. Wear one to work tomorrow - I dare you x
