Live and let tie
Posted by Kathryn Carr on December 31, 2007 11:22 AM
New year, new me! Well that's what I keep telling myself.. And top of my list of new year's resolutions is to smarten myself up for work (or to wear heels instead of Ugg boots on at least 2 days of the week).
But it's not just me that should be turning over a new leaf. I'm calling on men to don their best ties for work, to start 2008 as they mean to go on - in style.

Christmas pressie alert!

I absolutely love these bags, by Clippykit.
With see-through pockets, you can design them youself, by filling them with photos, fancy artwork, or, if you're a scatterbrain like me, your shopping list!
At £28 for a medium sized shoulder bag, they aren't exactly easy on the pocket, but I've spotted some almost identical bags at Lady Green nursery, for £9.99.
I've already snapped one up for my best friend for Christmas, and am now busy hunting down pictures of her and all our friends from over the years to put in it.
If you're feeling flush, visit http://www.clippykitlondon.co.uk, or alternatively pop down to Lady Green garden centre in Ince Blundell. Bargain-tastic.
LOOK WHAT I BOUGHT!

I had a real fashion dilemma this weekend.
I'll set the scene - it was Thursday night and I had to get an outfit for Friday's fancy Prestige Ball at Aintree Racecourse and Saturday's glitzy Casino opening with Johnny Vegas in Liverpool...and I had a tight budget!
A trip to Gemini and £114 later I had two outfits...
Spice up your wardrobe - can the nation's favourite girl band still cut it as style icons?
Posted by Kathryn Carr on December 7, 2007 10:32 AM
This week saw the return of my favourite band - the Spice Girls.
Despite the fact that half of my misspent youth was taken up pouring over copies of Smash Hits, admiring their platform trainers, leopard print hipsters and outlandish make-up, I wasn’t sure I’d be charging out to buy Sporty’s latest tracksuit this time around.
Ten years, seven children, five solo efforts and one fling with Eddie Murphy later, can they still cut it as style icons for us girls?
